Create external User/Partner
SOLVE
Hi all,
We are getting more and more familiar with our Hubspot Professional Suite.
However, we are struggling a bit with adding one of our reselling partners employees to our system.
Note: we are not speaking about a "Hubspot partner"; it's a reseller who is reselling our own application 😉
In the user settings and when creating a new user, I cannot see a partner tab or something similar at all. What we need is limited access for the partner's employee to see only their deals, contacts, pipeline etc.
My current workaround: I created a user group called "partners" and limited their access rights (switched off their marketing permissions, reporting, general access rights etc.). This works to a certain degree. Yet, it would be still possible for them to access all pipelines (not seeing any deals, though) or see and edit exiting conversation workflows.
Did I miss anything in the settings? Thanks for your help 🙂
It sounds like you have done the right things. There is no specific functionality in HubSpot for partners or resellers, just the the teams and permissions controls you have mentioned.
As far as I know, ability to view pipelines can not be partitioned, only the ability to view the deals within them.
You should be able to turn off the ability for a team to view workflows and on enterprise you can partiontion them if I understand them correctly - referring to: Partition your HubSpot assets
