Hello @SHedaux

  1. In Gmail, before sending, uncheck “Log” in the HubSpot toolbar.

  2. Leave “Track” checked if you still want open/click data.

  3. HubSpot will not log the email, and won’t create a new contact automaticallyunless that contact already exists.

You’d then need to create contacts manually (e.g., via “Create Contact” in the sidebar extension).
This gives full control but is not automatic.

Hi @SHedaux,

Thank you for posting to the Community!

I understand that you would like to use the Gmail Sales extension to add new Contacts to your Hubspot account; however, you do not want to log those emails.

I'd like to tag in some Top Contributors to see if this is possible -- Hi @sam_baybrad @ LMeert and @tverdokhlib1 Do any of you have any ideas on this one?

If Log is unchecked, the contact won’t be created automatically either. The cleanest way to do it is to leave logging off in the extension and run a workflow or periodic import to catch new addresses from your sent mail later.

If you still want contacts to appear as soon as you email them, one workaround is to keep Track on but Log off. Tracking just adds the pixel, it won’t save the email body. Then use the HubSpot API or a connector (the one I usually mention has a free version that’s enough for this) to scan your Gmail sent folder and push new addresses into HubSpot as contacts.
That way, you get automatic contact creation without clogging timelines with full email logs.

Hi
What is the connector you usually use?
