How do you create a unique ID for each contact/deal?

@RManikus when you open a contact, it's the second number in the URL. You can also find it by clicking 'View all properties' in the top left corner of any record, then searching for record ID.

Hi @RManikus 

Just to clarify that all records in the CRM have a unique ID

automatically created by HubSpot.

You can access this ID from the records URL

but also when you export the records and also from the API.

Hi @RManikus,

What exactly are your requirements for such an ID? The 'Record ID' is something that HubSpot assigns upon record creation and which is already unique. Would that be an option?

I need to be able to track a contact without using a name but an ID. Where do I find the record ID?
