Connected Domain About To Expire

Hi All, the domain I used to initially setup my HubSpot account is about to expire. I would like to let this particular domain go.

When this domain expires, will I no longer be able to use my account? How does that work exactly? I know a web address was needed when signing up but do I continue to need one?

I plan on registering another domain but in a few months.

Thanks!

Hi @Guyfromjersey

Changing domains, and emails, will be a hassle for you. I would set up your new domain now and then set up HubSpot with the new domain and email address.

If you're using Gmail you could have both the old and new email addresses use the same inbox.

Or you could set up your account with a Gmail address.

Either way a little messing around with domain names and email addresses will save you time in the long run.

Do you have any idea if I can use my account without an associated domain?

Hey @Guyfromjersey

Haven't tried it myself – I know you can add or remove Domains for the CMS, Landing Pages, etc.

So it may work... worst case scenario is that you have to migrate your CRM info later.

So I say "Death or glory!" go for it.
