Company Records - Help

SOLVE

Hey there Hubspot community,

I just started using Hubspot, I wanted to start with the free verison to see if I liked the tool. I'm having an issue with records. I've been adding company contacts and once I get to over 100 company records the number goes down. Its happened to me twice already, so strange. For example, I was adding the company contacts and it showed I had 102 records then when I looked again it was at 60 records. I thought it was odd so I contiuned on with my imports I got 117 record then it went down to 96 records. I've stopped adding my company contacts until I figure this out. I'm importing each company contact manual and there are no duplicates. If someone can share some insights? Are my records being deleted?

Please help

@SCaldevilla this is very unusual then. Are you sure you're always looking at the "All companies" tab and haven't accidentally compared the number from another tab? (Some of the tabs are filtered and will thus show different numbers.)

Also, are you sure that you entered all of these as companies and not potentially some as contacts (Menu > Contacts > Contacts)? These are separate objects in HubSpot and not counting towards the same total.

Hi @SCaldevilla,

How exactly are you adding these contacts? Manually or via import? When you check the numbers, where exactly do you check?

Best regards

Manual

Contacts > Companies > Create Company > (I'll add company domain it fills and I review make sure its right) > Create and add another

that has been my process. I see the records on the top left corner under companies. Attached is screenshot of my page when I go to start creating new company.

Hey @SCaldevilla

you can go to Import screen and look for errors in the import process

there you will see if there was some information missing or if it already existed.
