Can't add a 2nd free seat

I've tried to set up the second free seat that is available in the free plan, but everytime i try to send the email, i am pushed to upgrade the plan instead.

Has anyone had this issue before, if so, how was it resolved?

I have the same problem and added the user for the second seat as a "Developer." Once they completed their setup, I edited their permission to an admin. This worked for me.

I am experiencing the same issue, and the support chat is of no help. It says I have to pay to play.

Hello @RHeatley  If you try the invite from the users side instead of the seats side it might work.

Can you please share the error you are getting in a screenshot please?

I think I was able to trick the system. Add the second user as a developer. Once you've done this, then change their permissions and make them a user. It worked for me.

When i click to add a user, it doesn't give me an error message, it just automatically takes me to upgrade my account. I've checked and the recipient hasn't recieved any emails either

Hi @RHeatley and @karstenkoehler,

Thank you for posting to the Community!

@RHeatley Can you please collect a HAR file by following the steps here while reproducing the issue (until you see the error) and send it to me via DM?

Once we have that, I can flag internally 🙂

Hi @RHeatley,

Can you please share a screenshot of what you're seeing under Settings → Users & Teams, blurring names/emails if needed?

@RHeatley this looks like a bug to me – as it clearly states that you have invited 1 out of 2 users. Unfortunately, in the free CRM you don't get access to HubSpot support to troubleshoot. @CommunityTeam this has come up twice today, could you potentially look into this?

How can anyone evaluate the system before purchasing a paid plan if you run into a bug right off the bat and you're told nobody can help? There are a number of users, including me, who are experiencing the same thing. I have the same problem, and being told the same thing. Pay or stay stuck. It's not a great first impression.
