Why should i use hubspot extension to my email account?

Hello, 

I recently tried to finish a certification regarding SEO but i am concerned. There was an excercise where i need to connect hubspot extension to my email account. Now i dont want that. I dont understand why i have to do it.

To me, since i am very new to digital marketing and still learning, i have concerns  connecting any extension to my email account. 

I thought of  creating new email account to finish the certification but in new email account, there wont be any email, so whats the point?

I know its very common now a days to track performance in SEO prespective, Moz has extensions for chrome too but still..... 

Any article in this regard will help to know why its ok.

Using the HubSpot chrome extension with your email account is totally optional. Also, the HubSpot SEO training offers no certification.
