Creating deals outside of Hubspot for Certification

The configuration of our sales structure requires that all "deals" are created outside of Hubspot, in Netsuite to support our accounting models. Several of our staff are wanting to complete some of the Certified Training courses which include practical exercises like creating deals within the software. On one attempt, a collegue received a warning email in response to a deal he had created.
Can you confirm if this warning email is simply a general notice but will still be accepted and reviewed for him to complete the certification course.
