Can I ask what method of integration you are looking at? 

Are you using a native integration such as the Shopify integration with HubSpot or are you looking to use the HubSpot API?

HubSpot's eCommerce Bridge API should be the one you look at to build your integration ideally as it has purposely been built for eCommerce sites. It would package an integration for you that would maximize the use of your eCommerce data in HubSpot for campaigns and segmentation.
