Using workflow webhooks to push data into CRM - help needed!

Hi guys,

We have a workflow, which fires on form submission, that triggers a webhook. This webhook contains all the data we want to push into our CRM (MS Dynamics), including custom fields, but so far have been unable to work out a way to push the data between the two systems.

We have been evaluating Scribe as a middleware for this, but there are two limitations that seem to make this impossible. Using their "hubspot" connector, Scribe can't lookup custom hubspot fields, and using their "webhook" connector it can't read "nested" json (which is how the workflow webhook JSON is formated). 

Does anyone have any experience of using workflow webhooks to push data in their CRM? How did you do it?

Hello @Zonal 

Have you ever tried to implement the same with Zapier or the zaps. You can connect HubSpot tool with other tools XYZ provided that zapier supports them. New zaps can be created in which a trigger on form submission can be set and then you can perform the desired action on other tool.

Yes unfortuntly Zapier doesn't allow us to create custom entities in MS Dynamics, which is a key part of our solution. Thanks for the suggestion though, appreciate it.

To clarify, are you trying to create custom objects in MS Dynamics 365 (not just custom fields on default contacts, leads, or accounts) and sync HubSpot custom contact property values to them?

Also, it sounds like you're open to either polling or workflow webhooks as a method to get the custom contact property values out of HubSpot. Is that accurate?

Yes we are trying to create custom objects in Dynamics. For our business modal we can't use the lead entity, so we have had to create a custom entity called "campaign reponses" which captures a snapshot of every form submission.

Scribe allows us to create these custom dynamics entities using workflow webhooks, but we can't seem to pass through custom field values. Conversely, Zapier can get the values of the custom fields, but can't create custom dynamics entites. 

With regards to webhooks, we really want to use workflow webhooks only as polling won't work for our custom entity.

Sorry, it's a complicated system! It feels like we are so close, but so far....

Apologies for the delayed response.

I've conducted some preliminary research on alternatives to TIBCO Scribe but haven't found anything super promising. The connector documentation I've seen lacks the technical specificity I seek to answer whether your use case is possible.

Just so we're on the same page, which other solutions have you evaluated and/or eliminated? Bedrock Data? LyntonWeb? Tray.io?
