Refresh deal data after closing CRM extension iframe

I am building a CRM extension using cards.

I have a primary action that opens up an iframe. Once I have submitted my data I have found that I can close the iframe using:

window.parent.postMessage(JSON.stringify({"action": "DONE"}), "*");

Is there a way to pass a payload to the parent window that then refreshes the deal screen?
