Hi guys!
We would want to use Https redirection service for our rootdomain example
http://mydomain.com (pointing to a redirect IP) > 301 redirects to > http://www.mydomain.com (hosted on HubSpot).
We currently use EasyRedir as suggested by this article https://knowledge.hubspot.com/articles/kcs_article/cos-general/root-domain-not-loading-https.
We would like to ask if there are still other alternative aside from EasyRedir that is cost effective. Does GoDaddy offer this kind of service? Thanks

Hi @chrissa0000 , yes forwarding your root domain ==> www. subdomain should be possible within GoDaddy. You just need to follow the instructions here from GoDaddy: https://ph.godaddy.com/help/forward-a-domain-12123

If you redirect your https root to the subdomain www - and there isn't an SSL certificate applied to the root if anyone types in https://rootdomain.com they will likely get a browser security warning.
I think this article could be a solution.

Hey @chrissa0000! GoDaddy should have a forwarding service to forward your root domain to www. Here's a forum post I found on this: https://webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/9849/how-to-forward-non-www-to-www-using-godaddy-dns-...
Is GoDaddy your DNS provider?

Yes @cbarley we use go daddy, do they do offer htis kind of service?. We purchased an SSL certificate before in GoDaddy so that we would not use EasyRedir and then GoDaddy advised us to request for Certificate Signing Request (CSR) from Hubspot which Hubspot didn't gave from us.

@cbarley - Sorry, this solution doesn't work as GoDaddy doesn't secure the root domain when you forward it to the HubSpot secured subdomain (www).
Best to use easyredir or cloudflare. You need Easyredir's professional plan at $39/mo. which is pretty cost-effective.
