Optional image column

SOLVE

Hello,

I am a beginer in Hubspot!

I am creating an email template and trying to get an optional image. The content is on the left side and image is on the right, so i want the right image is optional for email. If we don't want image the rich text will cover the image area as well.

Is there any way to do this?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @mfaisal,

Thank you for the clarification.

While it is currently not possible to achieve what you'd like in an email, I do have two workarounds for you:

If you're using the classic email editor, creating two different email templates: one with image and one without image is the best way to go about achieving your end goal here.

If you're using a drag and drop email, you can do a simple switch of the column layout and change it from 2 column to 1 column or vice versa. Gif below for better reference:

Additionally, if you're looking to create landing/website pages within HubSpot with a similar use case here, you can look into HubSpot's flexible columns

Hi @mfaisal,

I hope all is well with you 😃

Are you looking to have content on the left side and on the right side you'd like an empty column?

If that's what you're looking for, you can use HubSpot drag and drop marketing emails and select the 2 columns layout.

If you're using a custom email template, in your design manager you can add a horizontal spacer beside the rich text module, like this:

Let me know if this is what you're looking for!

Hi Wendy,

Thanks for reply!

I need the rich text on the left and image on the right as screenshot is below. But i want this image module is optional where i can delete the image in email if it is not required and the text will cover the image module area in full width.

If I want to create more than 3 columns (e.g. images in 4 or 6 columns), is it possible to add that as a layout in an email template?

Hi @janicedru,

You can do by using the classic email editor where you can add up to 12 images column:
