Is there any support for companies/contact bulk update status API ?

I would like to know if there is a status API which would tell us bulk update status of companies/contact.

We can though create a subscription in oAuth app itself and fetch webhook notification on companies/contact update and process it accordingly, but I am looking for a status poll API which will provide status of companies/contact bulk update, since its an asynchronous call.

At this time, no such endpoint exists.

I've heard other integrators poll the "regular" object endpoints like this for contacts and this for companies, but I recognize this is less than ideal.

I certainly see value in such a status endpoint for these objects, though. If you would like to see such a feature implemented, I recommend posting your request on the HubSpot Community Ideas Forum. I didn't find any existing posts asking for this functionality.
