Is there a replacement for the depreciated Social API?

SOLVE

Hello All,
I see in the Developer docs that the HubSpot Social API methods are being depreciated but I cannot find if they are being replaced with something new.

I'm asking because I want to build a public app to add some useful missing scheduling features.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a replacement for the depreciated Social API?

SOLVE

Hi @charlesgreen 👋

As far as I'm aware, there's no replacement/successor planned for these APIs. According to the Sunsetted and deprecated APIs page, the List social events endpoint will no longer be functional from 31 August 2023. However, all endpoints within the V1 Social Media API, relating to publishing channels and broadcast messages, will remain "functional and stable ... for the foreseeable future".

Given you're interested in developing an app to address "missing scheduling features", I'm guessing you were planning on using the list social events endpoint? If so, sorry for the bad news. Hopefully I'm wrong 🤞

All the best,

Zach
