Is posible to create a thread from 0 via API?

Hello for everyone.

Our development team have a problem trying to create a message thread via API, there is any way to make this possible? If is not, which other alternative do I have to avoid this issue?

From what I can see on this documentation "Conversations inbox and messages APIs", you can retrieve an existing thread but not create one from scratch.

This "Custom Channels API" might also be of interest.
