First some context 🙂 We want to integrate Intercom contacts into Hubspot via Intercom App Marketplace, with so called "two-way" version. Now, Hubspot de-duplicates contacts by email, while in Intercom we have some users have the same email.
Does anyon know: when we'll start integration with Intercom, will it fail mid-way due to email duplicates (basically after seing first such case) OR Hubspot will push such contacts into "duplicates pool" which we can manage manually?
My gut says it is the latter, the Data Sync tool. And I would rather not assume. Once we have additional information, we can ask the community if they have experience with the specific app or integration you are using and find documentation on the expected behavior for duplicated email addresses.
Yes, agree question was not specific enough. So, we'd want to use Hubspot's "Intercom data sync". Now, not sure if we should necessarily de-duplicate first before launching integrations, OR integration app handles that as explained above.
