How to set "created by" field when creating a property via API?

I am using API to create a property for company. The property can be created but the "Created by` field is "Unknown user". How can I set the `Created by` field when I use API with API key?

I believe that property can only be edited by HubSpot. 

Can you verify where you are seeing it?

I can see this field in property management page. It shows the account name if the property is created manually via the dashboard. But it shows unknown user if it is created by API. "Unknown user" is not a very good value for properties.

Gotchya,

If you use an API key, we have no real good way of identifying you.  If you were using OAuth, it would display as the person who granted access to the app. 

You could add this to the ideas board if you would like to suggest this to be updated to something more meaningful
