How can we open the links in new tab inside Timeline API events?

When a user clicks on "Click here" as in given attachment, it opens the link on the same page rather than a new tab.

We are doing this in our HubSpot Integration app under detail template of our Event Types as given below:-

[Click here]({{link}}) to preview.

Good Question Kapil. I am quite surprised this basic feature is still not integrated in 2021. Admin has to be careful to open any link provided into the template event. 😐

Hi @Subhash,

It's not currently possible to automatically open event links in a new tab. The event templates are rendered via markdown, but without the ability to add raw HTML. There isn't any markdown functionality that can create links with target="_blank", so you won't be able to force a new tab to open.
