How can we get contacts with lifecycle stage or basis the lifecycle stage ?

I am able to setup python script for getting entire contacts using hubspot contact API, but i am to able to get lifecycle_stage for the contacts using the API?, How can we get contacts with lifecycle stage or basis the lifecycle stage ?
