Getting API access for bots through code-snippets?!

Hello there!
I'm currently playing around with the chatbots and their code snippet option.
Is it somehow possible to integrate the Node.js API into this bot or can it be made usable?
I would like to save myself the detour via request and since there is a Node.js API, it would only be smart if the bot could use this via the snippets!?

Maybe I'm missing a little detail ... I hope you can help 🙂
