Get Closed Deals Company Name via Zapier

SOLVE

Hi, we want to sync Closed Deals from Hubspot to Airtable via Zapier. We can get all properties from Hubspot, except of the Company Name Field. Unfortunately we cant select this field in Zapier.

Is there any possibility to also get this data into Airtable?

Get Closed Deals Company Name via Zapier

Hey @HKocholl,

How's it going?

To sync the Company Name field of Closed Deals from HubSpot to Airtable via Zapier, follow these steps:

  1. Retrieve Company Information Using HubSpot API:

    • You need to use HubSpot's API to retrieve the Company Name associated with a Deal. This involves an additional step where you first get the Company ID linked to the Deal and then fetch the Company details using that ID.
  2. Create a Zap in Zapier:

    • Trigger: Set up your Zap to trigger when a deal is closed in HubSpot.
    • Action (Step 1): Retrieve Deal Details
      • Use the "Find Deal in HubSpot" action to get all deal details, including the Company ID.
    • Action (Step 2): Retrieve Company Details
      • Use the "Find Company in HubSpot" action to get company details based on the Company ID from the previous step.
    • Action (Step 3): Update Airtable
      • Use the "Create Record in Airtable" action to create or update a record with the retrieved Company Name and other deal properties.
  3. Example Detailed Steps in Zapier:

    • Step 1: Trigger

      • App: HubSpot
      • Trigger Event: New Deal Property Change
      • Choose Account and set up the trigger for when a deal’s stage changes to “Closed Won.”
    • Step 2: Retrieve Deal Details

      • App: HubSpot
      • Action Event: Find Deal
      • Use the Deal ID from the trigger step to find the specific deal details.
      • Save the Company ID from the deal details.
    • Step 3: Retrieve Company Details

      • App: HubSpot
      • Action Event: Find Company
      • Use the Company ID from the previous step to find the specific company details.
      • Extract the Company Name from the response.
    • Step 4: Update Airtable

      • App: Airtable
      • Action Event: Create Record
      • Use the deal and company details to populate the Airtable record, including the Company Name.

You can't select the Company name because it is not stored in the deal itself. 

You must:

  1. Find the Company that is ASSOCIATED with the deal. Zapier returns the Primary company.
  2. Use the resulting Company ID to GET COMPANY details including the Company name
  3. Then you have all you need to update Airtable
