Form API trigger if user has already filled out the form?

If a user fills out my HS form on day 1, then comes back to the site on day2 to the same page, is there some sort of javascript/api callback or trigger that will get called on day two that hides the form and can take another action?

I suppose there are a few ways to make XHR requests to see if a user exists or not. I don't have a solid solution for this one though since I haven't had much practice with HubSpot's cookies.
