Exit intent not triggering until refresh

Hello, 

I have an exit intent on the /choose-plan page. I have segmented it so that I have query param tst_ab_var set to either A or B to sent to one of two places. My problem is that the exit intent is not shown on an exit when I am on the page choose-plan&tst_ab_var=B. Then when I refresh and do an exit intent it is triggered. I feel like it has to do with the query param not being read correctly until a refresh but the urls are the same so I feel like it should trigger.
