Deal owner details through API call

Hello everyone - I'm trying to call deals data via api. However, I'm not getting the updated deal owner details associated with that deal.

For e.g. on July 1st, 2018 - a deal was created by Mr. XYZ and later on the ownership was transferred to Mr. ABC. If I'm calling the deal data through API, I'm getting Mr. XYZ as owner but not ABC.

How to get the updated Deal owner details via API call?

Could some help me with this?
