Deactivation of API Key - does it affect me?

Does the deactivation of the API key affect me? I have integrated a newsletter registration form on my Wordpress website - Hubsport automatically pulls the data. Does the change in the API key affect me in this regard? I'm not a coder and wouldn't know exactly what to do if that were the case. Thanks.
