Create a game to increase registrations

Hi all,

Firstly, not sure if this is the right section so let me know if im wrong!

We want to increase our free registrations to site, but introducing more interactive ways of enticing sign up, so thought of gamification.

Our thoughts were having a medical image or a question as part of a widget on site, they have to select an answer.

To see what everyone else has selected, you have to complete the reg form, and then it directs you to a page which shows in real-time what people have selected for each question, so they can see what most people thought - can then also be used if we do any polls etc.

Has anyone done this before, or have any ideas to be able to set this type of this up?

Fingers crossed.

Thanks,
Leela

@LRipton - It's a good thought, however... many other questions have been asked about functionality to increment a counter based on user input on the frontend.

You would need either a polling service api, serverless function or custom middleware to handle this and would get quite intense on the build.

That being said, we are a community of creative people, if you provide your website, we might be able to help you come up with a gamification lead magnet that's a little more reasonable 🙂

Your idea sounds like a great way to encourage engagement through curiosity. A common approach is to let users answer the question first, then require registration to view results. This creates a small investment that often improves sign-up rates. Tools such as Typeform or Outgrow can help set this up quickly and integrate with HubSpot forms.

Best of luck with the project!

That’s a smart idea, Leela! Gamifying sign-ups through quizzes or polls can really boost engagement. You might also consider using interactive scenarios—like showing a challenge or mystery (maybe even tied to themes like those in PojavLauncher , where users explore different environments or versions). This could spark curiosity and encourage users to register to see what happens next.

That’s a smart idea, Leela! Gamifying sign-ups through quizzes or polls can boost engagement. You could also explore simulation-based hooks, such as in BitLife Français Mod APK -style scenarios, to make users curious enough to register and see the outcomes.

That’s actually a clever idea! Turning registration into something interactive makes the process feel less like a task and more like part of the experience. Real-time results could definitely boost curiosity and drive more sign-ups. Excited to see how it turns out!

Your idea of incorporating gamification to reinforce registrations sounds exciting! While I have not implemented a similar feature, the concept is strong and will honestly interact with users efficiently. recently i created a farming related game stardew valley.

Interesting question @LRipton !

@tjoyce , @piersg and @JonPayne > Have you seen such case before? Curious to hear how you'd approach this👀
