Company timeline events using company domain

Hi everyone,

We are currently building a Hubspot integration which is sending timeline events for contacts and companies.

We would like to send timeline events using the company domain as the identifier and not the custom objectId. The reason is that our integration doesn't need to have access to the users' Hubspot account data for anything and we think it might be overkill to have to retrieve all the objectId for every company before being able to push timeline events to companies.

Is there a way to send timeline events for companies using the company domain just like it is possible to use email to send contact timeline events?

Thanks for sharing your use case.

At the moment, it is not possible to use company domain as the unique identifier when associating a timeline event with a company object. 

For company and deal object, the objectId is required. 

Having said that, if you haven't already, I'd recommend jumping over to the HubSpot Ideas Forum and posting this idea there so that it's visible to the HubSpot product team and other HubSpot customers and developers. Hopefully this will gather more interest.
