We are using the Hubspot Wordpress App to send data from a Contact Form 7 form and it's almost working perfectly, transferring the data from all the fields except for subscription status.
The "communication subscriptions" is empty if we add a customer from this CF7 form. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to ensure Hubspot knows that the user has subscribed while filling in the form?
Hi, @OScottI👋 For your non-HubSpot form, what is the field-type for the consent property? I ask because of this line from the documentation — “All data submitted to non-HubSpot form fields will only match to single-line textfield type properties in HubSpot. Non-HubSpot form fields cannot match with other field types.“
Additionally, if you view the submission from the form submission data page, and not from the contact record, do you see the consent details included?

I've tried sending a date to "became a subscriber" but it's invalid. I don't think this is the issue though, I've come accross this on another forum post:
"The GDPR consent tracking is not available for non-Hubspot forms, but you can copy the consent then paste in your other forms. Actually it's just a way to let you communicate normally and automatically with your leads. If you're using an external form and you have any kind of consent on it, you can just add a legal communication to your contacts. You can do this by going to Contacts -> Select your contacts -> More -> Add legal basis for processing contact's data. And you can also edit here the communication subscription."
It looks like I'm trying to do something that isn't possible. Is it right that non-hubspot forms cannot opt-in to communications?
