CTAs with Visitor Identification
Does the Visitor Identifcation API work to show/hide CTAs (slide-in banners, specifically) for visitors that have been authenticated in my own external authentication system?
I was hopeful this would work, but the information here makes me think that it might only work for chatflows.
More Context:
I'm trying to show a slide-in banner CTA based on the authentication status of a visitor in my own external authentication system.
I'm using the Visitor Identifiation API to identify authenticated visitors and have confirmed that a hubspot token is being generated successfully.
The CTA targeting rules for the slide-in are set-up to show the CTA when "Logged-in visitor" is true.
The CTA is still not being shown for the authenticated user, though. So I was hoping to get more information about how CTAs work with the "Logged-in visitor" targeting rule(s).
Hey, @carlykube. Welcome to our community! My review of the documentation yielded the same result as you, that this is a feature limited to chatflow targeting and not CTAs. “Logged-in visitor (Chatflows only)”.
We'll leave this open in case other users have alternate suggestions or a workaround they can offer.
Best,
Jaycee
