CRM Cards in private app

When looking at this page: https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api/developer-tools-overview under the "Supported extensions by app type"-headline it says that a Private app supports "CRM Cards".

I followed that link, created a Developer account and a App but how can I use that app in my CRM-account?

Hi!

Thanks for anwsering my question!

I tried to use a App that I created in a developer account. When I asked the question it was not clear that the "Public Apps" can be installed into account as a "private app" by using the installation url and without listing the application. I managed to get this working basically by:

* Manually going to the installation URL
* Using the "code"-parameter returned after the install to perform a API-request

After this the "public app" shows up in our Hubspot account while i'ts not publicly listed which is what I wanted to.

The docs around this is not at all clear, feel free to reach out if you want to know more to improve the docs.

Cheers!

Hey, @MarkusJohansson 👋 Thanks for your question. Let's see if we can get you moving forward.

Questions:

  • Did you, create a Dev Portal > App Test Account > Private App?
  • Or, did you create a Dev Portal > create a Public App (using OAuth)?

If Private App, have you worked through this guide? Quickstart guide for developing with projects (BETA)

Thanks for the additional information!

Best,

Jaycee
