Business card or Form Contact Merges with a Previous Contact not associated to it
SOLVE
Hi,
I'm experiencing an issue with uploading card contacts that are being automatically merged with an original contact in HubSpot. I don’t intend for the contacts to merge, but it happens automatically, resulting in the loss of the original details. How can I recover this information?
Additionally, I’ve noticed that other contacts are also merging with that particular one. Is it possible to disable the automatic merging feature in both the phone app and the web version? I would like the option to decide if a contact should be merged.
This system seems to be problematic. How can I undo all the merges that were not verified by me?

Hey @MSuvajac this shouldn't happen on the HubSpot app, just to clarify are you using the HubSpot app business card scanner? Or a HubSpot form?
On a HubSpot form this is expected behaviour as it uses cookies to match contacts, so your browser will always have the same cookie. You can easily stop this happening going forward by enabling the "always create contacts for unique email address" feature. However you can't automatically unmerge the contacts who have already experienced this issue, the only way is to manually recreate them all.
