61 years ago, "The Jetsons" wowed us all with their futuristic world. A place that seemed light-years away from reality. This animated vision of the future captured our imagination. During the 1960s, the time of "The Jetsons", people were transitioning to dial pad phones, floppy disks, and watching humans set foot on the moon. Now, fast-forward to 2023, and it feels like we're living in a world somewhat reminiscent of the Jetsons'. In just 60 years, we've seen many technological advancements. It's also intriguing to note that some of these advancements (AI, self-teaching bots, self-driving cars) have taken off faster than we might have expected. Clearly, we're curious and smart beings who deliver results! But now, looking ahead, the Metaverse, a digital universe where humans and technology coexist, appears on the horizon. Perhaps repurposing of Mars as a second planet for humans. Other than this, it's really hard for me to envision what the next future will be. So, here's the big shower thought running through my mind: Where will AI lead us, and what colour does that paint for our future, 2083? --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.
