Property sync not possible

Hello,

We have a few mandatory deal based properties in a pipeline. Sales guys needs to fill them during outreach and calls, but we want to have them on a company level. These properties are more company specific, but since I can only use deal based properties as mandatory in a pipeline, now I need to transfer them to a company level properites. I already created company level properties a few weeks ago and planned to use a workflow for this, but property sync might be the better way. 

However, I can't change the property type now even though it's not being used. See image:

How to resolve this?

I understand you are looking to change an existing property to a property sync field type, correct?

At this time, you can only select Property Sync as the field type when creating a new property. So in this case, you will need to recreate those properties as Sync properties. Check out this Knowledge Base article for more!

One more question, will the new property sync pick up already filled in properties or will it start syncing from the moment it's implemented?

Yes! All existing values in the property you are syncing from will sync to your new Property sync field. It may take a few minutes to populate depending on the amount of data.
