Opportunity Stage field in SF

Résolue

We have one field named as 'opportunity stage' in Hubspot.

I could not see its mapping with SF. I was wondering if this is a default property and how does it work.

It is updating as per the opportunity stage in SF.

Thanks,
Rahul

@rulpats the screenshot is really helpful!

Yes, this is a standard property in the integration. It's "Created by HubSpot," but it's created by the package when the integration is installed (not a HubSpot property).

It's auto-mapped and doesn't need to be added to the field mappings. It's not able to be updated from HubSpot either - it will just update from Salesforce.

Hey @rulpats - Stage is not mapped as a property between HubSpot and Salesforce.

Stage is included in the Pipeline Settings under the Deal object in HubSpot.

Stages and Pipelines are configured this way to mirror how Record Types and Sales Processes (essentially a filtered list of the Stage field in Salesforce) are set up in Salesforce.

Hi @LaurenRyan,

I think this is a contact property created by Hubspot. It gets updated as per the contact role's associated opportunity in SFDC. If a contact has two opportunities mentioned then it updates as per opportunity which has a later close date allotted in SFDC. See attached image. Can you share/confirm any additional information that you have?

Opportunity Stage field in SF

Hi @rulpats. In my experience with HubSpot, "Opportunity Stage" is not its own standard HubSpot property. It is, however, a stage in the HubSpot lifecycle stages property.

If it's a separate property in your HubSpot instance, I'd look into who crated and ask why.

If it's part of the lifecycle stage property, that's the property (or field) you'd want to look into. That could be what's driving the update in SFDC.

Hope that helps clear it up!

Hi @rulpats,

Great question, thanks for asking the Community!

I'd like to share these articles that might be of interest:

- Map HubSpot properties to Salesforce fields
- Sync Salesforce opportunities to HubSpot

Also I found the solution from @Aakar on this post "Salesforce Field mapping best practices" that might help you!

I also wanted to invite a couple of subject matter experts to this conversation: Hi @LaurenRyan, @danmoyle and @Aakar do you have suggestions to help @rulpats, please?

If anybody else has anything to add and/or share, please feel free to join in the conversation 🙂

Thanks so much 🌟 and have a lovely day!

Best,
