Looking for unique value function

SOLVE

Hi, my team is trying to report on number of unique companies out of a contact list. It looks like the only way of doing this wihtin HubSpot is to use a HubSpot Dataset. We couldn't find it but, Is there a Unique Value function in Dataset that we can use in order to get that number pushed out?

Hi @bhascher,

If you're really just interested in the count of companies, you could also use the list tool. Create a company-based list and use the contact properties filters to re-create the filters from your contact list.

For example, if your contact list (the one from your original post) filters for all contacts with a certain Lifecycle stage or is a static list generated from an import, you would create a company list and filter for all companies that are associated with contacts with Lifecycle stage so and so or from the Import so and so.

(If this static list was assembled manually, you would have to assign them a value in any property, existing or custom, that would let you filter for them in the company list.)

The company list would automatically show unique company records only, not the same record multiple times. The list count would be the number you're looking for.

Best regards!
