So I've been having a back and forth with Hubspot support about a week or two now. We've been discussing the Netsuite integration app in Hubspot and we're not able to get custom fields from Netsuite to show up in the field mappings. Has anyone else had this issue and what did you do to solve it?
The method we use to map our drop-down fields is the same method @DinithiAbeysiri mentioned for the multi-select fields: copying the drop-down text to a new single-line field in NetSuite, then mapping single-line to single-line in Hubspot. However, if there has been a fix, we have not updated our sync. Since it's working for us now I will likely not fix it unless an issue arises.
Hi @MiaSrebrnjak, thanks for tagging us here. I have managed to successfully map single line custom fields created in NetSuite mapped back to HubSpot. As mentioned by @PSatterly, dropdowns fields in NetSuite needs to be mapped to a single line in NetSuite and then that single line can then be mapped back to HubSpot. This is the workaround that I do with my integration setup.
Although, I heard during a deep dive session on HubSpot NetSuite Integration - @WinnieHien mentioned that the dropdowns are in their pipepline to deliver by this year as a top priority.
We have been able to map certain custom fields, but not all. The checkbox custom fields we just implemented on our Contact records we were able to map successfully, and we were able to map other existing checkbox custom fields. Through trial and error, we discovered that multi-select fields can only be mapped to a single-line text field, which is fine and we found a workaround.
As for missing fields from Netsuite not showing up (one custom field, one native field), this is actually an issue I am currently dealing with, and have a call scheduled with support tomorrow to try and troubleshoot.
Hi @CRatliff, the workaround I followed is to create a single-line in NetSuite and map the dropdown value for the newly created single-line and then map that single-line back to a single-line in HubSpot. You can use workflows in HubSpot to map the single-line value to a dropdown in HubSpot if needed.
But I guess now its possible to map dropdown values (other than the status I believe) to dropdown values in HubSpot given that the lables are similar. I believe it'll be more efficient if the internal values stay the same as well. I havn't tried this option yet.
Hi @DinithiAbeysiri , I'm having trouble creating the mapping in NetSuite from the dropdown to a single-line. Do you happen to have any guidance on where to look on setting that part up? I've got a dropdown field in NS that I need to associate to Deals, but need to do a workaround similar to what you've described. It doesn't appear mapping dropdown values is available yet.
Hi @JCartwright77, can you confirm whether this single line text field that you are trying to use on the mapping is a default or a custom field? If it is a custom field, you need to have at least Operations Hub Starter. Other than that the mapping should be fairly direct and no need of a workflow or any complex setup to get the necessary data synced between the 2 platforms.

Thanks, @PSatterly . I guess I'm stuck on how to copy the dropdown in NetSuite to a new single line. I've gotten held up on the field sourcing in our sandbox and tried to look elsewhere for some type of guide. I'll keep looking but if you have any specific guidance on that mapping on the NetSuite side of things, I appreciate it!
