How do I get my EXISTING QBO items sync over to Hubspot Products?

Résolue
  • I just turned on the product sync between QBO and HubSpot.
  • I realize that it will only sync newly created or updated QBO items. It is crazy amount of work to go into every QBO item and just do a minor update to trigger a sync.
  • Is there a way to get my EXISTING QBO items sync over to Hubspot as products so that I can use them in my quotes and deals?

Hey @MarwanDajani I missed your reply and apologize.

Yes, it would match based off name of the product.

In the workflow could tell it to NOT create products in QBO in the last option.

@MarwanDajani you could just export your current product/services from QBO and import them into your HubSpot Products.

Check out this article about import files and scroll down to find the example files for Products.

Would that auto match my HubSpot products to items in QBO if I run the Create Estimate in QBO action in my automation?

Hi @MarwanDajani,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

I believe that it's not possible to sync existing QBO objects to HubSpot products as this Quickbooks help documentation states: Please note: only newly created products will sync to HubSpot."

The reason for this is that the integration API relies on a trigger to sync. Existing products will be added to HubSpot if they are updated within QuickBooks. HubSpot relies on the creation of or updating products to sync them from Quickbooks.

A potential workaround for this is to perform a bulk update by exporting and then reimporting your products all within Quickbooks.

I hope this helps!

Best,

Kristen

Hi @MarwanDajani,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

This is indeed a limitation of the QuickBooks Online integration: it only allows for new items to sync to HubSpot but not old ones. The reason for this is that the API relies on a trigger to sync, existing products will be added only if they are updated within QuickBooks.

A workaround for this could be performing a bulk update by exporting and then reimporting your items within Quickbooks or exporting them from QuickBooks and importing them as products into HubSpot.

You could also look into the Zapier's HubSpot + QuickBooks Online Integration.

I hope this helps!
