We bought Operations Hub pro so we could easily deduplicate our companies. I'd like to merge based on company owner, but the out of the box filters in the dedupe tool are limited. Specifically, if I have a conflict between two owners, I can not choose one in bulk one owner to be the "primary" record. It has to be done individually.
So I pulled an export of my dupes, so that I could clean up the owners in excel and reimport the companies to ensure the owner fields are as I'd like them to be. I'll then be able to use the dedupe filter by owner to bulk select and merge accounts en masse.
But the hubspot owner field in my export is exporting as "hubspot_owner_ID" and none of the IDs match back to any IDs that I've exported from my HubSpot users export. Any ideas what's going on? Any other ideas for easily merging by account owner en masse when you have two different account owners for each of the records?
I'd be curious on where your owner IDs are coming from in the export? If you're using an owner property then the owner ID within that property may be different from the owner ID that is assigned to each actual USER. I.e. If I am a user then I have ID 1234 But if there is a property where I'm the owner, my ID for that property might be 2940
Have you pulled the owner ID values within the property rather than the users?
Hi @tlynncook we created a HubSpot plugin to simplify deduplication within HubSpot. You can specify which records needs to be the primary based on any combination of properties including the Company Onwer. Here is how our primary rules work exactly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15RJKkc_cSY

Thank you! We actually figured this out and it is exactly the issue you described above.
The duplicates export exports the HubSpot Owner ID for each of the dupe accounts which is a numeric value. That value actually maps back to the "internal name" of the COMPANY "company owner" field which is a HubSpot user field.
I had exported our users directly from our user table and pulled in their User IDs. These are different from the company owner internal name values. That's where I was getting confused.
Thanks for the details. Of course! Here's a more polite version:
Just to confirm, may I ask if this issue has been resolved, or if you have any further questions? If you have any additional concerns regarding this matter, please feel free to share them. Otherwise, would you be able to accept the solution provided by @SuperRevOptics who assisted you?
Thank you very much.
