A challenge my company has faced with using any out of the box integration with HS is that most of our other software are account based and have a unique id for the accounts, but because HS is company based, we cannot sync between the two systems. Accounts and Companies only sometimes map 1:1. We have set up a custom object called Accounts that allows us to store this information, but since syncing to custom objects is still not available, we're kind of stuck.
I can't imagine we're the only HS users in this position and wanted to see if anyone else has figure out some widely applicable work arounds!
Hey @cynmartin all pre-built integrations are realistically just using publicly available APIs to pass information between two systems.
HubSpot have quite a diverse list of apis available on their developer docs here.
It looks like churnzero also have apis available (although it appears as if they may charge for them) availble here.
A lot of the time pre-built integrations are there to serve as many users as possible and cover the most common solutions. It sounds like your needs are likely a lot more bespoke than could be covered by the out of the box integration. What you may need is a developer to create a custom integration using these apis. With these you could create your own integration between systems to sync whatever data you like.
This would require a bit of development skills, if you don't have an in-house developer I'd be happy to recomend some developers with some strong HubSpot integration skills if you'd like to drop me a DM!

@cynmartin The situation you are describing is quite common. Without knowing more I can't recommend a specific solution. But a third party integration platform with property mapping capabilities that has prebuilt API connectors for HubSpot and your other software apps should be able to sync your data correctly. Feel free to DM me to set up a call if you would like to share specifics on what software you are trying to integrate with HubSpot.

Hey Tom, thanks for the offer. Sounds like without custom objects being available through the API we're stymied. As John mentioned, it seems to be quite common so I was hoping there was another option available that we were just overlooking.
You are trying to sync HubSpot custom objects with which integration please?
