Bulk removal of dates

Hi,

I'm attempting to clear out a number of dates that were added by mistake. Some of our deals should have an empty custom date field and I'm trying to remove these in bulk. Has anyone found a way to clear out data from a field through an import?

Hi @ACarr1,

The easiest way to do this would by bulk editing these contacts: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/how-can-i-bulk-edit-contacts-companies-deals-or-tasks

Simply leave the date field empty when doing so:

Importing an empty cell will not clear the value.

Thanks, that worked. I was attempting to import a blank date field and it was giving me an error. The bulk update was what I needed to clear out the dates.

You can do this in one of two ways:

1. Workflow - you can create a workflow to clear a property value.
2. Import - you would need to export the deals with their corresponding IDs and the date field you want to clear out. Take that document to a google sheet or excel sheet, and delete the date fields that are incorrect. Then you would need to re-import the list and match the Deal IDs and the custom date field property.
