What's the best way to indicate a subscription based price increase for reporting purposes?

SOLVE

Hey Y'all!

New to HubSpot and had a question - I'm wondering what is the best to indicate a subscription based price increase?

For example, let's say our product is $10,000 a year. Upon renewal, a 5% price increase is applied to the deal, increasing the total price to $10,500.

Not every customer will have a price increase, so I'm wondering what the best way to indicate this so I can later report on this to easily see which customers have had a price increase.

I'm currently doing this in the line item section of the deal. For example:
Line item 1: Product name - Original Subscription Price
Line Item 2: Product name (Price Increase) - Amount of Price Increase

Total Contract Value: Original Subscription Price + Amount of Price Increase

Is this best practice? If I do it this way, will I be able to run reports to see which customers have had a price increase at renewal?

If there is a better way y'all have found to do this, let me know!

Thanks!

The simplest way I can see would be:

Custom Deal Property = "Price Increase 2024/5" = YES

Then you can simply run a filter on all deals that had this price increase for that year.

(Make compulsory for deal close, have "NO" as an option as well)
