Using Deals, e-commerce, and attribution reporting
I'd love to connect with anyone who is using an e-commerce platform without a direct integration to Hubspot and creating deals via an API to learn if/how you're capturing source and attribution data.
Our challenge is a visitor hits our website to find their product and then completes the transaction on a 3rd party registration/e-commerce platform.
In some cases visitors will fill out a lead form on our website and moves from becoming anonymous to a known visitor and their attribution data is captured/associated with the appropriate Hubspot contact record.
In many cases, visitors find their product without filling out a lead form and become a customer on our 3rd party registration platform. We import the contact and deal information from the 3rd party registration platform, however, there is no source or attribution data available (the Original Source is Offline Sources for imported contact and deal information).
Unfortunately, there are limitations with the 3rd party registration platform and we're unable to use an embedded Hubspot form and Collected Forms don't appear to be an option due to the complexity of the form field set up on the 3rd party registration platform.
One obvious solution is to switch the third party platform which were looking at as an option after our contract with them ends.
Thanks for anyone who is open to sharing similar experiences and solutions!

On the third party form, could you have a hidden field that is auto-populated with a certain value that you could use for attribution, then that field could be synced to a contact property via your API?
