Submitting non-HS forms (BounceX) to HS using the Forms API (or via Google Tag Manager)

Hi all!

I'm hoping there's someone out there who uses BounceX for lead capture. We've been getting leads from them sent over through an API. We're in a group with several others at the instutition and we're trying make the most of our 1:1 time with the company and get them to adjust their integration to send leads to us using the forms API.

Has anyone sucessfully completed this? Can you share the specific steps needed or what you sent to them?

We're missing source information for these contacts before they're not sending over the tracking token value  (see below).

A workaround we're considering is pulling form submission information using GTM and submitting that over to the Forms API. Does anyone have advice on that?

HubSpot tracking cookie "hutk":x - Used in the hs_context parameter The tracking cookie token value used for HubSpot lead activity tracking. You can retrieve this value from the "hubspotutk" cookie placed in the user's browser by the HubSpot JavaScript Tracking Code; the tracking code must be installed on the page that contains the form.

Hey @geoffbcampbell1 - I suspect you may have already seen the Non-Hubspot Forms knowledge base article. We recently went through troubleshooting a similar issue (not on a BounceX form) and that article was helpful.

The other piece we found missing was the domain that the non-Hubspot form was on had not been set up properly in the cross-domain tracking configuration in Hubspot.
