Segregating Business

Résolue

Background: We operate a large scale sales company (X) and have recently acquired another company (Y) that we want to keep seperate in our database.

How do we stop contacts that fill in a form for "Y" from being contacted by someone from "X". We have tried business units, but then if someone that was on "X" fills in a form for "Y" they are not getting through workflows as we have a suppression list "If Business Unit is X"

Any help is appreciated, very interested to see how others are tackling as I imagine this is a common issue

Hi @AMulready,

This would typically be handled through contact access permissions: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/user-management/hubspot-user-permissions-guide#crm

Contacts would have to be assigned accordingly and you could then specify that contacts could either only be viewed or communicated if they're owned by the user or by someone on the same team: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/user-management/manage-user-permissions

If that's not an option, could you specify why?

Best regards!
