Don't want new accounts to be created SF because of Hubspot
SOLVE
I don't want new accounts created in SFDC because of Hubspot.
What is the best way to achieve this keeping the sync on?
#1. I have disabled the create and associate companies with contacts settings just recently. I think it only helps in not creating duplicate companies in Hubspot.
#2. I cannot turn off this rule - A company is created or updated in Hubspot to Do nothing.
At this stage, A company is created or updated in Hubspot is set to create or update the account.

Hey, @rulpats - if the Company sync is enabled, HubSpot will create Companies that meet the Account creation criteria in Salesforce.
If you want Companies from Salesforce to sync with HubSpot, you can't turn this setting off.
If you have Companies creating in HubSpot that you do not want to create, here's what to check:
1. Are your file imports creating companies? If someone is accidentally mapping Company Name to a Company property instead of a Contact property this can create a new Company in HubSpot.
2. Is Create and Associate Companies turned on? (You said no - so this one is checked off for you).
3. Are your forms collecting Company data? When building a form, it's easy to select a Company property instead of a Contact property. If you have Company properties on your form, it could be creating new Companies.
4. Is an integration other than Salesforce creating new Companies?
Look at the companies that are creating in HubSpot and look at the Record Source details. This should help you figure out the source.
Finally, if all of that fails, you can adjust the Salesforce integration user permissions to disallow the integration user from creating Accounts in Salesforce. You'll have sync errors for those companies in HubSpot but that's really the only implication.

Hi @LaurenRyan Thanks for your detailed feedback. I had to turn back on the 'create and associate companies with contact' setting since for the Hubspot scoring I need contacts to get automatically associated with the company. I am using the associated 'company revenue' and associated 'company industry' fields for scoring purposes. I tried turning off this setting but even for inbound form submission, the company would not get associated with contact. I was not sure if this was an exception/error. As per the rule, even if it is turned off the inbound form submissions should get attached to a company.
Now this brings me back to your suggestion - 'adjust the Salesforce integration user permissions to disallow the integration user from creating Accounts in Salesforce'
I will connect with our SFDC admin and see if this can be done.
I also wanted to invite a couple of subject matter experts to this conversation: Hi @LaurenRyan, @Phil_Vallender and @jolle do you have suggestions to help @rulpats, please?
If anybody else has anything to add and/or share, please feel free to join in the conversation 🙂
Thank you and have a lovely day!
Best, Bérangère
