Currency change after deal creation

Hi!

Hubspot is able to take a deal amount and calculate what that would be in the company's currency (EUR).

When a deal is opened, and the currency is selected, the calculation is made, and it will update if the deal amount changes.

Can Hubspot update the calculation if the currency changes? I have seen a deal created in USD, and when the currency field was changed from USD to CAD, Hubspot still calculated the company currency as though the amount was USD (using USD > EUR rate).

Hi @VPrimerano! Welcome to the Community-- happy to have you here 😊

 

I tested this on my own account. Initially, the Deal was set to CAD$, with the Deal amount in my account's Company Currency (US$) being $10,000. When the currency for the Deal was set to CAD$, the amount in Company Currency was calculated as $13,700. However, when I switched the Deal currency to US$, the amount in Company Currency was correctly updated to US$10,000.

 

That said, if you notice deals are not being updated accordingly, be sure to check that the deals are not closed. As noted in the Knowledge Base article, closed deals will always be calculated based on the currency set at the time of closing.
