We want to set up a refferal tracking system. So we want to be able to link multiple contacts (reffered members) to a particular referree member (member that reffered others). I am a little lost on how to do this, the only idea I have is create a list of contacts then assign it to a contact, but I am not sure how to implement it. Any help would be apreciated!
@MLandry5 is the referring member a contact in the CRM also? Same object associations can do this with an association label like "referring member" which you can see in the records. Then you can use associations—including contact-to-contact associations—as filters to create views and lists.
Here are some instructions on how to filter contacts by their associations (including contact-to-contact) in lists or views:
Create or Edit a List/View: Go to CRM > Lists and start a new list or edit an existing one4.
Add a Filter for Associated Objects: Click "+ Add filter" and select the associated object type (e.g., Contact, Company, Deal)4.
Choose Association Label: When you select the associated object, look for the option to filter by association label. For companies, you’ll see default options like "Primary Company" or "Any Company," and below that, your custom labels (e.g., "Primary Contact")34.
Apply the Label Filter: Select the desired label to include only those contacts with that specific association label in your list or view
One note here - if you're looking to build a full solution for this, like a PRM (partener relationship management), you'll need to customize HubSpot a bit. Or use a tool like Rocket PRM (disclosure - the HubSpot Partner I work for built this).
