Automations based on association criteria.

Hey everyone, I'm running CRM by myself for the first time without rev ops support as a partnerships leader so apologies if this is a very basic question. 

I'm looking to automatically update a field on a custom object and it's stage in a funnel associated with the custom object based on volume and criteria of associations on a deal. 

The use case is we have partner tiers and criteria to meet those. So for example to be a bronze partner you need 2-4 closed won deals or the combined closed won deals MRR has to exceed $10k. 

If these conditions are met I'd like to update the tier field in the partner custom object and move the partner record to the bronze stage of the agency partner onboarding funnel. 

Can't seem to find the right options to build out this automation in the workflows section.

Hi @cianxwright ,

 

Firstly, are Deals and the Custom Object associated to each other? If they are I would do this by using a calculated property and a workflow.

 

To start create a calcuted property on the custom object.

This will then tell you how many won Deals the custom object is associated to.

 

Then create a custom object based workflow. The enrollment criteria should use the newly created property - Number of Closed Won Deals is greater than 1 and less than 5. Then add an action to update the Tier property and another action to update their Stage in the custom object pipeline.
