I really like HubSpot's attribution reporting and have had some success with our team showing the various interactions that led up to the creation of a sales opportunity / deal.
However, we have a long sales cycle, and tight qualification rules for when a new deal can be added - so there is often quite a lag between a first meeting and subsequent deal creation. So I'd like to see similar information to the attribution report but based on a meeting being held, rather than deal created.
Doesn't look like that is possible right now, and also I can't see a method to get all the required interactions into a single custom report.
Ultimately, I want to get to a report that says, our sales team had X meetings this week, and of those X, show the various factors that influenced the prospect to take the meeting (web visits, marketing email opens, social interaction, sales sequences, etc. -- all the stuff on the attribution model)
We do have something working in zapier, which triggers each time a new meeting is logged - we call the hubspot API via some python to get information on the company and associated engagements.
The main problem we have with that approach is that the associated emails are not easily identifiable as linked to a specific campaign (sequence). Nor is there currently an API endpoint to retrieved sequence analytics data, as far as I know.
Interesting to hear your suggestion, though - perhaps we're on the right path?!
Hey @PBaxter, thank you for posting in our Community!
One potential solution could involve customizing your reporting by leveraging HubSpot's API or integrating with other tools to gather the necessary data points related to web visits, email opens, social interactions, and sales sequences leading up to meetings. This might require some development effort or the use of third-party integrations, but it could provide the detailed insights you're looking for.
